Modern Vacuum Kiln utilizing low temperature, high vacuum for quick lumber drying; processes lumber in a fraction (about a tenth) of the time required for conventional lumber kilns; allows faster drying times with no warpage or surface cracks by maintaining a small differential between the shell and core moisture content throughout the drying cycle. ~~ Core of the wood is still essentially at atmospheric pressure while the shell is at a much reduced pressure, causing moisture to flow to the shell more rapidly. ~~Lumber pressed with 1,200 pounds of pressure per foot, lumber exits straight and no stickers are required; product is flat, much nicer, and therefore much more usable (WOOD-MIZER vacuum kiln does not have this feature). ~~ Includes: (12) Aluminum platesfor full load of 4/4 lumber, lumber sizes to almost 17' long and a stack almost 3 feet wide provides a 500 bd/ft capacity. ~~Equipped with: Vacuum pressure control, solid-state temperature controller, and DELMHORST 2000 VT automatic moisture meter control. ~~ Unit used a little over (4) years; shipping weight is approximately 4,000 Lbs.
