The vacuum table is a perforated, zinc plated steel plate. The heating system is mounted in the hood surrounded by an aluminum reflector. The hood opens manually via a spring counterbalanced hinge system. A separate hinged frame holds the diaphragm allowing it to be lowered for vacuum activation before closing the hood to activate heating. Vacuum System: A nearly perfect vacuum of one (1) atmosphere can be obtained using a Gast 1‑ 1/2 Hp Vacuum pump evacuating air below an EPDM diaphragm Roughly equivalent to 28 inches of Hg or 14 psi. Controls and Heating System: 375 Watt, 115 v, infrared lamps Controls include: Selectable temperature Soak time values Automatic shutoff Alarm buzzer at cycle completion This system is very robust for plant environments and has a short training period.
