Wood Working/Wood Industry Equipment (Used) : AVAILABLE TO SELL
Location: USA, ROCHESTER NEW YORK
Ripjack "over" n "under" cutting head.
Ripjack ''over'' n ''under'' cutting head: used, good condition; $2,000 plus shipping. (Cutting head only) Mounted on machine with cylinder, hoses and valvue:$3,000 without power pack: no motor, tank or pump available at this time.
Just get an electric or gasoline motor with a hydrolic pump and a return tank... even a forklift pump will work.
Originally I ran this off a disabled forklift that had a bad diferential... the engine and hydrolics worked, so I disconneted from the mast and hooked the hoses up to my dismantling machine.
Cutting head is currently mounted on homemade dismantling machine: needs hydrolic pump and motor that was removed to run another machine. Just hook up hydorlics and the dismantler is ready to work; mounted on 6'' steel casters so that machine can be moved out of the way by hand or with fork lift or power jack.
I built and used this machine for four years; sold it and then repurchased it two years later;(it was not ''osha'' approved because it is ''homemade''. The trucking company that bought it had to shut down because their fire marshal tagged their wood fire place as ''not approved'' to meet fire code. Suddenly they had no way to get rid of their scrap.
I have arthritis and cannot work any longer; this is a good unit for a small pallet business... 2 or 3 guys. If you get bigger, you can put a man on dismantling boards full time. I would sort and sell boards with perfect corners and edges, while using one chip corners facing in on end boards, or using cracked or broken corner boards for ''c'' skids.
I also have a homemade cutoff saw with a 40'' jig attached to cut down long boards, or to cut blocks or 1/2 runners: $75.00
This equipment is reliable and pays for itself. Because it is homemade, it is heavier duty than factory machines, but it has worked for years. Nobody ever built a dismantler like this one, but they certainly paid a lot more for a fancy machine.
Ripjack is a reliable manufacturer; I have had to replace one cutting head bearing, maybe two bearings after all the years I have had this machine. Cutting disks are not chewed up... occasionally I touch up the edges with a 4'' grinder; really hardly ever necessary. This machine is heavy; even just the cutting head is probably 300 lbs. so it must be shipped by common carrier or picked up at your expense.
